travel updates and analogue pictures
I have noticed that a few new faces appeared on here recently so wanted to say a warm welcome. And feels like the perfect time for me to get back into this newsletter world :)
I have been struggling a bit to sit down and write. Strange how we sometimes overcomplicate things in our mind. Because they seem so huge when often they don’t even take up that much space. I do love writing and honestly, I have not been doing much of it these past months.
First of all, I wanna thank you for being here, for being interested in my work and my world. I want to get a little better at sharing or at least giving more insights into things that I am working on. Life often gets in the way and I simply forget. Instagram is one of those places that sort of pushes me to share but even that does get overwhelming.
Some of you who follow me on my instagram may know that I am traveling India at the moment. This place is insane! So vibrant so full of life and so full of new experiences.
How I ended up there you might be wondering. It was actually quite a spontaneous decision, you see I am quite addicted to traveling and I got an offer from a dear friend of mine, Alice, to come and visit her. I simply could not resist such an offer. I booked my ticket about two months in advance, worked as much as I could until the date came, got on that airplane with my heart racing with excitement. And about 15h later I was in the chaos of Delhi with a calm heart because I knew I was where I wanted to be. Traveling again. And seeing one of my best friends.
One of my favorite things about traveling is the unknown especially in terms of photography, you can literally not know what you will get and that keeps me so hyped. I love taking my camera out on random strolls and just looking at unfamiliar things. Oh gosh must I tell you Delhi was such a treat for photography!
But before I share my travel pictures from this India trip, I would like to split it into sections. My first stop was Himachal Pradesh - old Manali. Beautiful town in the Himalayas. I can’t even express how good it felt to be there. Next stop after that was Agra - Taj Mahal. Right before going there we met up with Annie and Natalie who are great friends of Alice. After that we headed to Rajasthan, where Milda joined us. And for the next 10 days or so we all traveled together. Right now I am in Goa with the girls. And our last stop will be Mumbai. Where I will continue on my own. Sort of. I will actually meet a friend there and stay with here for a bit. I don’t think I would dare to travel India on my own, so I am super grateful I have had such wonderful girls around me here.
So as I mentioned before, these pictures are coming up later and I absolutely can’t wait to share them with you all!
But for now enjoy some analogue pictures I took over the past 6 months or so:
Thanks for tagging along and see you in the next letter! Please feel free to reply if you have any questions or any suggestions on what you would like to see more of on here!
Lots of love,
Kotryna
